Cedar Park Police Bolster Patrols Ahead Of Memorial Day Weekend

Added police will be on the lookout for aggressive and/or impaired driving through June 5.

CEDAR PARK, TX -- Police said they will devote additional resources to combat drunk and aggressive driving over the Memorial Day weekend.

The weekend kicks off the unofficial start of summer, and with it more people on the roadways enjoying their time off. But often, drivers exhibit aggressive or impaired driving in reaching their destinations.

To combat the inherent dangers posed by such driving, police said they would saturate the city's roads with added patrol officers through June 5. The initiative has already begun, kicking off May 23, police said.
