Cedar Park PD To Conduct DWI Patrols Over Thanksgiving
Officers will be on the lookout for impaired drivers after pulling over 350-plus violators and making 6 DWI arrests last year.
CEDAR PARK, TX — Cedar Park police will ramp up enforcement efforts during the Thanksgiving period to keep roads clear of impaired drivers, officials said Wednesday.
"Thanksgiving is ordinarily one of the most hectic travel periods of the year, and our officers are urging motorists to remain safety-minded as they travel throughout the state," officials said in a press advisory.
To buttress the point, officials noted Cedar Park police pulled over more than 350 drivers for speeding and intersection violations and arrested 6 drivers for DWI during last year's Thanksgiving holiday period.

This effort is part of Cedar Park’s goal to reduce traffic accidents during the holiday travels, officials explained.
