Cedar Park Police Make Three DWI Arrests — Two Of Them Felonies — During Holiday Crackdown
More than 30 overtime hours were logged as part of the Selective Traffic Enforcement Program,.

CEDAR PARK, TX — Police worked more than 30 overtime hours during the Thanksgiving holiday to curb drunk driving on the city's roadways, netting one misdemeanor DWI arrest and two felony ones, officials said on Tuesday.
The Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) spanned from Nov. 20 to Nov. 30. During that ten-day period, officers made the aforementioned arrests. All told, 33 overtime hours were logged in the effort to curb drunk driving over the holiday period, officials said.
"The two felony DWI arrests were enhanced because in one case, the driver had a child passenger in the vehicle, and in the other, the driver had previous DWI convictions," officials said. "In addition to impaired driving, Cedar Park Police used the initiative to monitor for aggressive driving during the peak travel time."
