Cedar Park Police Net Just Two DWI Cases During Bolstered Memorial Day Patrol
Police increased their presence on local roadways from May 22 to June 4, working just over 21 hours on the effort and netting two violators.

CEDAR PARK, TX — Just two DWI arrests were made during the recent increased patrol presence to curb drunk driving during the Memorial Day weekend, police said Friday.
From May 22 to June 4, the Cedar Park Police Department increased patrol presence on local roadways to discourage and monitor for impaired driving violations as part of the ongoing regional Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP) Initiative, officials said. During the enforcement period, officers worked a total of 21.5 hours and made two DWI arrests.
The next Cedar Park Police Department STEP Initiative is scheduled for the upcoming July 4 celebration period, which local officials pegged between June 24 through July 5.
