Cedar Park Police Schedule Class Teaching Dog Walkers To Help Fight Crime
Upcoming class teaches people how to focus on their surroundings while on the mundane task of walking one's pet.

CEDAR PARK, TX — You can become a crime fighter while doing something as mundane as walking your dog, according to police.
The Cedar Park Police Department will be staging a dog walker class to teach residents how to become more vigilant to their surroundings. The class will focus on how to focus less on calls, texting or listening to music and more on becoming more attuned to one's surroundings to sense if anything is amiss.
This class is scheduled on Monday, Oct. 2, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 911 Quest Parkway.

The goal is to help people effectively observe their environs and report suspicious activity in the community. Those interesting in taking the class must register by by emailing david.amidon@cedarparktexas.gov.
