Cedar Park Police Seek Driver Possibly Pretending To Be Cop

Officials said man in his 50s spotted driving car with red and blue emergency lights has made contact with at least one other motorist.

CEDAR PARK, TX — Police are seeking information related to a suspicious vehicle outfitted with red and blue emergency vehicle lights, officials said Wednesday.

The vehicle was spotted near the intersection of Bell and Whetstone on Tuesday, April 3, in the late afternoon, according to police. Officials said the dark=colored car was driven by a man in his 50s. The driver may have had contact with another motorist, police said.

Anyone with information or who may have had contact with a suspicious vehicle displaying emergency lights is urged to contact the police department at (512) 260-4600 ext.0 or use tip411.com to remain anonymous.

"We want to take this time to remind drivers: If you get stopped or pulled over by someone you suspect is impersonating an officer, please call 9-1-1 to report it immediately," police wrote on their Facebook page.
