Cedar Park Police Seek Suspect In Attempted Sexual Assault
A woman was nearly sexually assaulted just past 3:30 a.m. on Thursday and managed to save herself by shouting at her would-be attacker.

CEDAR PARK, TX -- Police are asking for the public's help in identifying a suspect in an attempted sexual assault incident that occurred early Thursday morning.
Just after 3:30 a.m. on Thursday, the Cedar Park Police Department received an emergency call about an assault in progress in the 900 block of Alamo Plaza Drive, police said in an advisory. The victim told police a man entered her home and tried to sexually assault her.
The suspect fled after the woman began to shout at him to leave.

According to police, the victim then called her ex-husband who lives nearby. He responded to the victim's house, later telling police that he noticed a suspicious man along the way walking in an alley close to his former wife's home. He described the suspect as being either a Caucasian or Hispanic man of about 6 feet tall, wearing a red shirt with long sleeves and blue jeans.
The victim described the suspect as having a scruffy beard and smelling strongly of cologne.

Police are now asking for the public's help in finding the suspect.
