Cedar Park Police Will Be Out In Force To Curb Holiday Drunk Driving

Bolstered patrolling for DWI offenders will kick off Friday and continue through July 5.

CEDAR PARK, TX -- Police will increase their patrol presence starting Friday as part of its bolstered effort to crack down on holiday-related drunken driving ahead of the Independence Day holiday.
Cedar Park police disclosed their plan for bolstered patrols in a press advisory Thursday afternoon. The effort is part of the region's Selective Traffic Enforcement Program (STEP), and will be in effect from June 24 to July 5.
"The goal of the operation is to target impaired and aggressive driving over the popular travel period, Cedar Park Police Department officials said. " We want everyone to Arrive Alive so if alcohol is going to be part of your salute to America’s independence, make sure you have a plan in place to get home safely."
