Cedar Park Residents Can Recycle Christmas Trees For City Mulch Use

This Saturday, residents can take their trees to be recycled for free.

CEDAR PARK, TX — Yes, we all want to hang on to the holidays as long as we can, but it's time to get that Christmas tree recycled.

The opportunity arrives this coming Saturday, and it's a free event to boot. Trees brought in will be turned into mulch for landscaping at city parks and facilities. In addition to helping the environment with the recycling, those interested also can let Boy Scout Troop 233 pick up their tree and bring it to the recycling center for them. Visit www.troop233leander.org for details and to schedule a pick up.

While supplies last, those bringing their Christmas trees will receive a free seedling as a reward for recycling.
