Cedar Park Teen Arrested In Connection To Assault Of Man At His Home

Daniel Stewart Chamblee III, 18, is jailed under $100K bond while police search for second suspect, Richard Caster, 28.

CEDAR PARK, TX — A Cedar Park teenager was arrested Wednesday for allegedly assaulting a man at a home in Blanco earlier this month, officials. said.

The Blanco Sheriff's Office told CBS Austin that Daniel Stewart Chamblee III, 18, was taken into custody in connection with the Jan. 7 attack in the Cripple Creek community. He is being held at the Blanco County Jail under a $100,000 bond.

A second suspect is still at large. Police have identified him as Richard Caster, 28, of Plano. He is believed to be in the Blanco area, the sheriff's office said.

Police were alerted to the attack last week that occurred just after midnight when the victim called 911 to report that he was being assaulted by a man who entered his home, CBS Austin reported at the time. When officers arrived, the victim was bleeding profusely as a result of several injuries, according to the report.

The suspect fled by the time police arrived.
