Powerful Geographical Information Systems (GIS) tool yields quick access to a range of interactive maps.

CEDAR PARK, TX — City officials have unveiled the "CP Atlas," a new online GIS tool featuring interactive maps for parks, recreation areas, zoning, land use designations and more, officials announced Tuesday.
The powerful Geographical Information Systems (GIS) tool was created entirely in-house by city staff, officials noted.
“The new site is truly unique due to its design, amount of information offered and new the technology it uses," the city's Enterprise Applications Manager Jared Wahlberg said in a prepared statement. "I’d also like to recognize the City’s talented GIS and Applications Team Members for their creativity and dedication, making what was once a vision a reality.”

- Interactive Maps allows the user to view custom maps, zoom in and out and turn on and off various layers. For example, the user can click on a planning map and turn on and off various layers – such as a layer that shows zoning. The user can also use the measurement tool to find the distance between two points. And the user can see where certain buildings are located.
- Story Maps combine traditional maps with narrative text images and multimedia content to create a compelling, user-friendly experience. For example, the Bell Boulevard Story Map uses mapping and text to tell the unique history and plans for the Bell Boulevard Redevelopment Project. The Cedar Park History Story Map uses locations of historical significance to help tell the story of Cedar Park. The Economic Development Story Map uses mapping and text to explain major past, present and future economic development projects.
- Map Library allows users to download and even print PDF versions of official City maps such as zoning districts, City limits, flood zones and more.
- Data Portal provides open source data for users to search for specific information by entering search terms, for example, City limits. Users may also browse by category. This data is also available for downloading in a variety of formats and information on API integration is also available.
Officials noted CP Atlas is an ever-evolving and expanding tool. Additional maps, information and data will be continually added to CP Atlas as it becomes available, and to fit growing community needs and expectations.
Why? "To help ensure that no matter what users are looking for, there’s a map for that!" city officials wrote with palpable excitement about the new product.
