Cedar Park Unveils CP Connect 2.0 App
Free mobile app allows residents to quickly and easily report issues to city staff using their smart phones.

CEDAR PARK, TX — The City of Cedar Park is re-launching CP Connect 2.0, a free mobile app residents can use to quickly and easily report issues to city staff using their smart phones, officials said Friday.
The app allows users to take a photo, video or audio, and give an exact GPS location of the issue at hand. The report is then automatically routed by category to the appropriate city staff for systematic and prioritized resolution, officials described. Then, city staff are able to keep the user apprised of the status of the reported issue until it is resolved. It is often referred to as a “3-1-1 app.”
In addition to the report-a-problem feature, users of CP Connect 2.0 can now use the Trash/Recycling category to find their trash/recycling and outdoor watering schedule by typing in their address. Residents also can report missed trash/recycling collection, request bulk trash pickup, report missed bulk pickup and request a replacement trash or recycling cart through the app.

In addition, users will also find direct links to pay their water bill and search for city facilities such as City Hall, Police, the Recreation Center and the Municipal Court, the Library, Parks and City Pools. There are direct links to the city’s events and meetings calendar, City news feed and other items on the municipal website, as well as the city’s staff directory. Users may log in to CP Connect 2.0 with their user name, e-mail and password, or with Facebook.
CP Connect 2.0* is a new version of the original CP Connect app launched in 2012, city officials explained. The original CP Connect app is being discontinued, so users must download CP Connect 2.0. To do so, simply log on to the iPhone app store or GooglePlay, depending on your device, and search for CP Connect 2.0. Once the download is complete you may begin using it. CP Connect 2.0 is free and simple to navigate.

CP Connect 2.0 is designed to work optimally newer smartphone devices, officials noted, and could have limited functionality on older devices. "The City of Cedar Park makes every effort to ensure that CP Connect 2.0 runs optimally on as wide a variety of devices possible," officials said. "Should you experience any difficulties using CP Connect 2.0, please contact media@cedarparktexas.gov for assistance."
But even without the app, residents can report issues to the City of Cedar Park using the “Report a Problem” feature on www.cedarparktexas.gov or by calling (512) 401-5000. For most issues, CP Connect 2.0 is manned during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Reports submitted outside of this timeframe may not receive a response until the following business day. Citizens should never use CP Connect 2.0 to report emergencies, and instead should dial 9-1-1.
