Cedar Park Woman Accused Of Stealing Jewelry From Elderly Woman

Jennifer Joely Bolton is accused of taking more than $5,000 worth of jewelry from an 88-year-old lady she once looked after.

CEDAR PARK, TX — A Cedar Park woman who served as caretaker for an elderly woman in Georgetown has been charged with stealing more than $5,000 worth of jewelry, according to a published report.

The Austin American-Statesman said Jennifer Joely Bolton of Cedar Park arrived at the home of a former client, an 88-year-old woman, asking for a drink of water, according to an affidavit. Once inside, Bolton is accused of going to a bedroom containing jewelry.

All told, the oman is said to have stolen $5,175 worth of jewelry, including several rings with precious stones, including diamonds and sapphires, according to the report. Police tracked down all the stolen items at various pawn shops in Austin, Cedar Park and Georgetown, according to the affidavit.

At last check on Tuesday, Bolton was being held in the Williamson County Jail with bail set at $12,500.
