Cedar Park Woman Cut With Razor Blade Hidden In Shopping Cart
The shopper sustained cuts to her hand in the incident that occurred around 11 am. Wednesday at the Walmart store located on 201 Walton Way.
CEDAR PARK, TX — A women was hospitalized after cutting her hand on a razor blade stuck underneath a plastic shopping cart handle on Wednesday, police said in a press advisory.
The incident occurred at around 11 am. at the Walmart Supercenter store located at 201 Walton Way, according to police. Firefighters responding to an emergency call discovered a single razor blade affixed to the handle of the grocery cart, police said.
The woman using the cart suffered cuts to her hand and was transported to an area hospital. Her condition was undisclosed.

"At this time, the incident is under investigation to determine if this was an intentional act or possibly an accident," police said in the advisory. "We are working with Walmart to have them inspect the rest of their carts for any potential issues"
Police offered advice in light of the incident: "We would like to take this time to remind you to always be aware of your surroundings and to be extra vigilant. If you do come across anything suspicious, don’t hesitate to call the police."
