Each evening at nightfall, from September 24 through October 3, the Cedar Park City Hall will be lighted red to pay tribute to pay tribute to all fallen firefighters worldwide.
It is part of a tribute by the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation, leading up to National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend October 2 and 3.

In 2017, the Foundation created Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters to recognize the 25th anniversary of the National Fallen Firefighters Foundation andthe National Fallen Firefighters Memorial Weekend. Since then, Light the Night for Fallen Firefighters has expanded beyond City buildings to families lighting their own homes in red.
As dusk turns to dark, you may see landmarks, homes, fire service organizations and businesses across the country glow in red, in respect for the fallen and their families.
