City Of Leander Announces Board, Commission, Committee Openings

LEANDER, TX —Leander residents are invited to submit their applications to serve on a city board commission or committee beginning in October for the Leander City Council. Interested citizens who meet eligibility requirements may serve for one or more of the boards and commissions listed below, with current vacancies are shown in parentheses:

• Active Adult Advisory Committee (5)
• Board of Adjustment (4)
• Historical Preservation Commission (3)
• Library Foundation (3)
• Parks & Recreation Advisory Board (5)
• Public Art Commission (5)
• TIRZ/Development Authority Board (1)

Applications will be accepted through Wednesday, September 30 with Leander City Council holding a meeting to review applications and interview prospective appointees. Appointed board and commission members serve as volunteers for terms of either two or three years each.
