City Shares Details On Leander Tornado Damage
Tornado that touched down Sunday damaged three homes, fences and trees near 3200 block of Hero Way but no injuries resulted.

LEANDER, TX — City officials have provided more details related to the tornado that touched down on Sunday.
The tornado touched down at around 8:25 a.m. on Sunday near the 3200 block of Hero Way, city officials wrote on the municipal website. The eastbound storm was believed to have sustained extreme wind gusts over the city for less than 15 minutes, causing damage to three homes, several fences and trees, and loss of power to some nearby homes, officials said.
No injuries to people or livestock were reported, officials said. Units from Leander Police and Leander Fire were dispatched to the area, while utility officials with PEC Electric worked to restore power at storm-damaged properties, officials said.
