MONDAY, NOV. 13

  • Spanish Storytime: The Leander Public Library will host its weekly Spanish Storytime on Monday, Nov. 13 beginning at 10:15 AM. Spanish Storytime is a great opportunity for children of all ages to learn Spanish. This event repeats every Monday and no previous Spanish knowledge required. FREE Event.   • Sensory Storytime (Registration Required): The Cedar Park Public Library will host Sensory Storytime on Monday, Nov. 13 from 3:30 PM - 4:30 PM. Sensory Storytime is for children on the autism spectrum ages 8 and under, are sensitive to sensory overload, or have sensory integration issues. The class features stories, song and movement activities, and sensory playtime to enhance cognitive and social development. Registration required and limited to 15 families.   • Bow Wow Readers: The Cedar Park Public Library invites kids in grades K-3 to read to a certified Bow Wow Reading Dog on Monday, Nov. 13 beginning at 4:30 PM. Kids will practice their reading skills with Tex and read to him for 10-15 minutes. Registration for the program begins at 3:30 PM on the day of scheduled event.   • STEAM Club: The Leander Public Library will host its weekly STEAM Club meeting on Tuesday, Nov. 14 from 3:30 PM - 4:15 PM. This Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math class is geared for kids in kindergarten and older. Space is limited, no registration required.   • Bell Boulevard Public Meeting: The Cedar Park community will have yet another opportunity to receive updates and give their feedback on plans for redeveloping a portion of Bell Boulevard, as the City hosts a public workshop on Tuesday, Nov. 14, 2017, from 6 to 9 PM. The workshop is a come-and-go format with a brief presentation provided at 6:15, 7 and 8 PM. “Attendees will help define ‘the Heart of Bell Boulevard’ at this workshop through a variety of interactive activities and feedback-sharing exercises in which they can share their preferences for the overall look and feel of the Bell Boulevard District,” says Assistant City Manager Katherine Caffrey. “We will be providing updates on the road project aspects, the development efforts and the park that will be located within the Bell Boulevard District.” FREE Event.   • WOMEN Inspired Entrepreneurs: T-Werx Coworking will host its WOMEN Inspired Entrepreneurs event on Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 9 AM - 12 PM. As career experts, we can explore topics relevant to all women such as leadership, work-life balance, management, and lifestyle.   • Breastfeeding Women's Support Group: Cedar Park Pediatrics & Family Medicine's Breastfeeding Women's Support Group will be held on Wednesday, Nov. 15 from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM. All breastfeeding mothers, and those aspiring to breastfeed, are invited to this event held every 3rd Wednesday of each moth.
