Court Hearing Set For Florence, Texas, Animal Shelter Owner Where 90 Animals Seized

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — A court date is scheduled Monday morning for Daniel Hoch, owner of a Florence, Texas, animal shelter from which 90 animals were seized last week as part of an animal cruelty investigation.
In an email, the Williamson County Sheriff's Office said Hoch will appear before Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 Judy Schier Hobbs on Monday (March 27) at 10:45 a.m. The court is located at 211 W. 6th St. in Taylor, Texas.
On March 23, Williamson County Animal Control officials seized 89 cats and one dog from the R.U.G. Activity Center Animal Shelter located at 383 FM 970 in Florence. The seizure of the animals was sparked following a complaint from the Texas Department of State Health Services.

At the time of the raid, Williamson County officials didn't detail the condition of the seized animals.
