  1. Williamson County Commissioner Cynthia Long has been unanimously re-elected as the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) Chair for 2022-2023. Long is the first representative from Williamson County and the first woman to serve in this position. CAMPO is a Central Texas transportation planning organization that serves Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties and aims "to improve mobility and ultimately, quality of life" for local residents.
