1. Williamson County Commissioner Cynthia Long has been unanimously re-elected as the Capital Area Metropolitan Planning Organization (CAMPO) Chair for 2022-2023. Long is the first representative from Williamson County and the first woman to serve in this position. CAMPO is a Central Texas transportation planning organization that serves Bastrop, Burnet, Caldwell, Hays, Travis, and Williamson counties and aims "to improve mobility and ultimately, quality of life" for local residents. 2. Cedar Park has been ranked as one of the state's No. 1 high school basketball programs in the latest weekly poll from the Texas Association of Basketball Coaches (TABC).
