Police ID Driver Killed In Cedar Park Wreck

Wreck that killed Daniel Gerald Studdard, 35, occurred at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, on the Whitestone Boulevard exit ramp

CEDAR PARK, TX — A man was killed in a single-vehicle crash late Sunday, officials said.

In a press advisory on Monday, Cedar Park police said the wreck occurred at around 11:30 p.m. on Sunday, July 15, on the Whitestone Boulevard exit ramp. Witnesses told police a 2001 Jeep Wrangler was driving erratically when it swerved off the roadway, striking a guardrail before overturning.

The driver of the vehicle, Daniel Gerald Studdard, 35, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The Cedar Park Police Department Traffic Division continues to investigate the crash to determine whether there may have been contributing factors associated with the incident.

The crash marks Cedar Park’s sixth traffic fatality so far this year, police said.
