Educational Events Scheduled In Cedar Park and Leander This Week

Community events focus on topics such as money management, learning about Medicare benefits and much more.

CEDAR PARK, TX -- The communities of Cedar Park and Leander will host various learning opportunities for a range of ages beginning Monday, November 6. These are great opportunities to benefit from the resources available in your community and to become more informed about topics of significance. MONDAY, NOV. 6

  • Terrific Toddlers Storytime: The Leander Public Library will host it's weekly "Terrific Toddlers Storytime" on Monday, Nov. 6 beginning at 9:30 AM. No registration required, parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring their little ones for a fun morning of songs, stories, and socializing with your toddler. Recommended for ages 18 - 36 months.   • Money Matters at the Cedar Park Public Library: Registration required for this financial literacy workshop sponsored by the United Way of Williamson County and Frost Bank to be held Monday, Nov. 6 from 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM. Participants will learn how to set financial goals, track their spending, set a budget, manage bills and more. This workshop repeats each month providing the same information.   • Signing Storytime at the Leander Public Library: Each first Tuesday of every month, the Leander Public Library hosts its popular event, "Signing Storytime". Parents and caregivers are encouraged to bring their little ones (all ages welcome) this Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 9:15 AM - 10 AM to enjoy a morning of songs, stories, finger plays, and crafts that teach basic ASL signs.   • November Doula Date Night North: Are you an expectant mother and live in the Austin area? Enlightened Baby North will host "November Doula Date Night North" on Tuesday, Nov. 7 from 6:30 PM - 8:30 PM. This informative event is a casual opportunity to meet with Austin birth professionals and get answers to all your questions regarding topics such as doulas, lactation consultants and placentas.   • Understanding Medicare: An educational seminar at the Cedar Park Public Library will be held Wednesday, Nov. 8 from 5:30 PM - 7 PM.
