Man Dies In Fatal Cedar Park Traffic Crash (Updated)

Lawrence Jerell White, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene in aftermath of 2-car wreck along East Whitestone Boulevard early Friday.

CEDAR PARK, TX — A two-vehicle crash overnight left a man dead at the scene in what was the first traffic fatality of the year for Cedar Park, police said on Friday.

The traffic collision occurred at around 1:20 a.m. on Friday, April 26, along the 300 block of East Whitestone Boulevard, city officials said in a subsequent press advisory. Lawrence Jerell White, 28, was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The driver of the other vehicle was transported to Round Rock Medical Center with serious injuries, police added. Based on a preliminary police investigation, White was traveling west bound in the eastbound lanes of East Whitestone prior to the crash.

Police said they have no further details to share, citing the ongoing nature of their investigation. Officials noted in their press advisory the incident marked the first traffic fatality in the city this year.

CEDAR PARK, TX — A fatal traffic collision prompted police to close off access to a key artery late Thursday night.

Just before midnight on Thursday, police said they were at the scene of a deadly crash, resulting in the closing of eastbound lanes of Whitestone Boulevard between North Bell Boulevard and Quest Parkway to accommodate a po,ice investigation.

As of early Friday morning, police had released no further details. As a result, the age and gender of the victim who died in the collision is unknown at this time. Patch will update when more details are provided.
