- The Texas Department of State Health Services, Vital Statistics Unit has presented Williamson County Clerk Nancy Rister's Office with the Five Star Vital Registration Award. The five criteria for this award include timeliness of filing registrations entered into the state database by the clerk's office, annual training at conferences, use of the Texas Electronic Registrar (TER) for all births and deaths, and completing an assessment survey. Cynthia Tidwell and Marlen Rossetti within the Office were specifically recognized for their contributions making this award possible. (Press Release Desk)
- According to the city of Cedar Park, the majority of the road work on Bell Boulevard realignment has been marked substantially complete. The work included moving a section of Bell Boulevard to the alignment of Old US 183 between Buttercup Creek Boulevard and Cedar Park Drive. The $26.1 million road project is critical to the $350 million Bell District. (Community Impact Newspaper)
