Free Things to Do This Week in the Cedar Park Area

Get over the post holiday blues with some of these free activities.

Here is a list of free and fun events in Austin to help you get over that end-of-holidays slump:

Free Week - Monday, January 4 to Sunday, January 10

Enjoy free live music at Mohawk (912 Red River), The Sidewinder (715 Red River), and The New Movement (616 Lavaca Street) for 21 plus. Minors are $5.

Move Kids2Music – Kids Make Music - Tuesday January 5 at 9:00 a.m. (Round Rock)

In this Parent and Me class, 2- and 3-year olds will have a chance to sing, dance, play with puppets, and dance to music. Clay Madsen Recreation Center, 1600 Gattis School Rd, Round Rock.

Interactive Foam Installation – Tuesday, January 5 at 4:00 p.m.

See the installation of A retrospective view of the pathway (2008-2015) by Roger Hiorns. Guests are encouraged to wear clothes that can get wet or messy and to bring towels and a change of clothes. The Contemporary Austin, Laguna Gloria, 3809 West 35th St, Austin.

Lego Lab – Wednesday, January 6 at 5:00 p.m.

Come see what you can build with LEGO’s. Recommended for ages 5 and up. Ruiz Branch, 1600 Grove Blvd, Austin.

Krispy Kreme Family Night – Wednesday, January 6 from 6 to 8:00 p.m.

Kids get to decorate one free doughnut and can participate in other arts and crafts.

Free Noon Concert – Thursday, January 7 at Noon.

Spend your lunchtime to hear listening to a violin concert by Thomas McGregor. Central Presbyterian Church, 200 E 8th St, Austin.

Movies in the Morning: Cinderella (Cedar Park) – Friday, January 8 at 10:00 a.m
