Fundraiser For Missing Cedar Park Woman's Kids Launched

Police believe Amanda Gordon was killed after she went missing, leaving 2 young children who are now the subject of a GoFundMe drive.

CEDAR PARK, TX — A fundraiser has been launched to benefit the children of a Cedar Park woman reported missing who police believe was killed.

Amanda "Mandi" Gordon, 30, was the subject of a wide search after police were alerted on Dec. 12 that she hadn't been seen or heard from for several days. Officers went to a home she shared with her common-law husband at 2505 Cypress Lane, finding the man uncooperative and evidence of blood in the home and in a backyard shed.

Police now are treating the case as a homicide, officials said. The common-law husband faces unrelated drug charges and has been questioned about the woman's fate. After obtaining search warrants, officers also removed the woman's two children from the home so they could be cared by family members.

Those kids are now the inspiration for a GoFundMe campaign seeking to raise money for their needs. According to the woman who launched the campaign, the missing woman's mother, Deb Gordon, is now caring for the children — a 2-year-old boy and 8-year-old girl.
