Go Skateboarding Day Scheduled In Cedar Park

CEDAR PARK, TX — Go Skateboarding Day is scheduled this Friday at Cedar Park.

The event is the local participation in an annual observance created by the International Association of Skateboard Companies (IASC) in 2004 to promote skateboarding. It started in California on June 21, the longest day of summer.

The free event in Cedar Park is scheduled from 5:30 p.m. to 9 p.m. at Brushy Creek Sports Park, 2310 Brushy Creek Rd. Music, food, prizes and giveaways will be featured, and food concessions will be available. Attendees are welcome to bring ice chests and lawn chairs. Glass containers are prohibited.

Registration Ends at 7:30 p.m. (Bowl).

Street Competition begins at 7:00 p.m.

Bowl Competition begins at 8:00 p.m.
