Greg Kelley Calls For Cedar Park Police Chief's Firing

Man convicted of aggravated sexual assault of a child before case was overturned last week is calling for police accountability.

CEDAR PARK, TX — Greg Kelley — whose conviction on aggravated sexual assault of a child was overturned last week — is calling for the police chief to be fired, according to a published report.

Kelley was found guilty of the sexual assault of a 4-year-old boy at a Leander in-home daycare. But last week, the conviction was overturned, a move that ensured Kelley's release from prison.

After a recent council meeting, Kelley told reporters Cedar Park Police Chief Sean Mannix should be fired as a result of his imprisonment, as CBS Austin reported. "This man said I had a disease that my family and the people that love me is a cult. I don't know what else is the epitome of unprofessional," Kelley said.
