Have You Or Someone You Know Lost A Ferret In Leander?
Police have been unable to connect with the owner of Frankie the Ferret, who will be put up for adoption if no one claims him.
LEANDER, TX — Police are trying to ferret out the owner of a lost pet found wandering the not-so-mean streets of Leander over the weekend.
This is no ordinary pet, but a ferret. Frankie the Ferret, to be exact. Police know the creature's name because the owner put up fliers alerting the public of the lost pet and also posted on social media. But for some reason, attempts to reach the owner have been unsuccessful.
For their part, police are making the best of the situation. Leander Police Chief Greg Minton posed with the animal on the department's Facebook page, in the hopes of reuniting the pet with its owner.

For the time being, Frankie is living at the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter where he will be placed for adoption or foster, police said. The telephone number to the animal shelter is (512) 943-3322.
Unless the owner turns up. Do it for Frankie, ferret owner! Make yourself known!
