Justice Of The Peace Precinct 2 Office Closed Friday For Personnel Training
While some fines can be paid online, others that can't have prompted county officials to extend all due dates and criminal appearance dates.

WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX -- The Office of Justice of the Peace, Precinct 2, will be closed Thursday for court personnel training, officials said.
As a result of the Sept. 9 closing, all due dates and criminal appearance dates are being extended until Sept. 13, according to a news advisory.
Despite the closure, online credit card payments will be accepted, officials said. To pay on-line, click here. Only full payments are accepted, officials said. Once submitted, the case is considered closed and logged as a conviction.

However, juvenile cases cannot be disposed of online, officials noted. Certain other cases involving specific cases such as alcohol offenses by minors also cannot be disposed of online, officials said.
Offenses, such as Driving While License Invalid or No Liability Insurance, also will initiate additional charges by DPS with the Driver Responsibility Program (commonly known as surcharges or the point system), officials said. They urged those affected to visit the DPS website.

"We apologize for any inconvenience," county officials said.
County officials added that when making a payment online, people should maintain their receipt at all times as proof of said payment.
