LEANDER, TX — Leander ISD officials have opted to close all schools and facilities on Tuesday ahead of a winter storm expected on Tuesday.
Freezing rain and sleet have emerged as the biggest threats during a winter storm expected on Tuesday, Jan. 16, Such conditions could make roads treacherous, prompting many school districts in the area to cancel classes outright to prevent people from being on roads.
Leander ISD officials said an update would be given later on Wednesday class schedules.
