Leander ISD Schedules Job Fair To Fill Various Positions
From elementary school teachers to grounds maintenance crews to telecom technicians, district seeks to fill nearly 200 open slots.
LEANDER, TX — Leander ISD officials are looking for a few good teachers—and custodial, food service, grounds and transportation workers too—who they'll try to recruit at an upcoming job fair this Saturday.
The school district has scheduled the Leander ISD Auxiliary Job Fair this coming Saturday, July 15, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Cedar Park Recreation Center, 1435 Main St. According to a jobs portal, there are currently 190 positions that need filling, from elementary school teachers to telecom technicians.
"Leander ISD is a place where care and concern for every student, parent and partnership is at the heart of everything we do," district officials write on their website in their recruitment efforts. "Our guiding documents – the Learning Model, 10 Ethical Principles and the Graduate Profile – ensure that we maintain a great learning environment for all students."

A big selling point for would-be applicants is the city itself. While one of the state's fastest-growing communities, Leander has managed to maintain a hometown feel, with ample bucolic landscape and high quality of life amenities.
"Nestled in a diverse, vibrant community northwest of Austin, Leander ISD is the 14th-fastest growing in Texas, spanning nearly 200 square miles and encompassing cities of Leander, Cedar Park and Jonestown, along with portions of Round Rock, Georgetown and Austin," officials wrote. "On the borders of the Hill Country, the Leander ISD community offers convenient amenities alongside breathtaking views of rustic Texas scenery."

The district has 38,000 students at its 41 schools, maintaining a student-to-teacher average of 15-to-1, according to information found on the website. Officials noted the district offers competitive salaries, a continuous improvement culture and collaborative professional development opportunities.
"Supportive campus and district administration, along with active parent and community involvement, make Leander ISD a destination district," officials wrote.
