Leander Man Charged With Possession Of Child Pornography

Collin Curtis was charged with a third-degree felony that is punishable by up to ten years' imprisonment.

LEANDER, TX — A Leander man stands accused of possession of child pornography on his laptop computer.

Collin Curtis was charged with the third-degree felony of possession/promotion of child pornography after a witness told a police officer June 29 he had seen the photos on the man's laptop, according to an arrest affidavit cited by the Austin American-Statesman.

The charge assessed is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.

According to an investigator with the Office of the Attorney General, one pornographic picture of a girl between the ages of eight and 12 was found on Curtis's computer.

He was charged on Wednesday, and was being held in the Williamson County Jail with bail set at $40,000, according to jail records. Police list his home as being in Georgetown, but the Statesman reported the man resides in Leander.
