Leander Poised For Black History Month Celebration

State Rep. Nicole Collier of Fort Worth will deliver keynote at dinner staged at Hill Country Bible Church Leander on Feb. 16.

LEANDER, TX — Plans are underway for the 5th Annual Black History Month Celebration in Leander occurring next month.

The event is scheduled Friday, Feb. 16 at 6 p.m. at the Hill Country Bible Church in Leander. The scheduled talk, "African Americans in the Times of War," will be presented by State Rep. Nicole Collier, the District 95 representative in Fort Worth, Texas

Diner will begin at 6 p.m., with the keynote starting at 6:30 p.m. Tickets are $5 each, $2 for those under the age of 18. Along with dinner, door prizes will be given out, organizers said. Tickets can be purchased through Leander Chamber of Commerce online or by calling 512-259-1907.
