Leander Police Seek Public's Help In Reuniting Dog With Owner
Officers have nicknamed the canine 'Gentle Ben' after he was plucked from the streets running in and out of traffic.

Leander, TX -- The police officers in Leander don't limit their charge to "protect and serve" to just humans, and are seeking the owner of a dog found running through traffic on Monday.
"Gentle Ben, was found running in and out of traffic at the Crystal Falls and Bagdad intersection," Leander police wrote on their Facebook page. "Animal Services heard that he might have jumped out of the back of a truck while it was parked at a business nearby.
An accompanied picture on Facebook shows a calmer canine living up to its moniker, being attended to by a Leander police officer.

Police ask the public for help in locating the dog's owner. Anyone with information on "Gentle Ben" is asked to contact the Leander Animal Services at (512( 528-2800.
