Leander Residents Report Suspicious Man Lurking In Neighborhood

One woman said she was having dinner with family recently when she looked up to see man outside staring at them before fleeing.

LEANDER, TX β€” Residents of a Leander neighborhood are on edge after multiple reports of an unidentified man lurking on people's properties in the past few weeks, according to a news report.

According to KVUE, the incidents have largely been concentrated in the Summerlyn community off Highway 183A. One homeowner told the news station she was eating a late dinner with family members recently when she looked up and saw a strange man standing at her back door staring at them before running off.

The homeowner noted the gate fronting her home wasn't open at the time, raising the possibility that he jumped the fence.

And Wednesday night, the Williamson County Sheriff’s Office told KVUE an off-duty police officer reported a suspicious man in his neighbor’s yard in the Summerlyn community. But again, the man ran off before police could arrive.

Deputies with the Williamson County Sheriff's Office will be dispatched to the Summerlyn neighborhood on Friday to in bolstering security there, according to the report. Police urge residents to report suspicious activity by calling them ( 512) 943-1300. A physical description of the suspect has not been provided.
