Leander Seeks Qualified Citizens To Serve On Boards, Commissions

City Council is accepting applications from residents interested in public service roles through Sept. 28.

LEANDER, TEXAS — Leander City Council is currently accepting applications from citizens interested in serving on a city board, commission or committee through Friday, Sept. 28, officials said.

To qualify for appointment, citizens must be a resident and registered voter of the city of Leander; have no outstanding debt or other obligations owed to the city; have no felony or Class A misdemeanor convictions; and must not be an adverse party to pending litigation against the city.

Interested citizens who are eligible to serve may apply for one or more of the boards and commissions listed below. Current vacancies, including terms expiring this October, are shown in parentheses ():

After applications are collected, Leander City Council in October will schedule a meeting to review applications and interview candidates for appointments later in the month. All appointed board and commission members serve as volunteers for terms of two or three years each.
