Leander Seeks Residents' Input On Comprehensive Plan
Members of the public are invited to an upcoming open house to give feedback on how to make the city a better place to live and work.
LEANDER, TX — As Leander updates its comprehensive plan — the basis in determining short- and long-term community goals, land use and regulations — members of the public are invited to an upcoming open house to give feedback on how to make the city a better place to live and work.
The open house is scheduled on Wednesday, Feb. 19, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in SouthStar Bank, 10737 East Crystal Falls Parkway. The come-and-go event is an opportunity for members of the public to share thoughts and ask questions about how to make Leander a better place to live and work. Access a link by clicking here.

Comprehensive plans provide a community vision for the future and recommend actions to make that vision a reality, city officials explained. Plans of this type are “comprehensive” because they explore key elements like capital improvement, city services, neighborhood preservation, economic development, transportation and land use, officials added.
Leander City Council previously appointed a consultant and special citizen advisory committee to help facilitate the city's comprehensive plan update this year. The 16 members appointed to the Comprehensive Plan Advisory Committee are:
