Motorist Dies After Collision Along Toll Road In Cedar Park

CEDAR PARK, TX — A motorist died in a rollover crash along the U.S. 183A toll road in Cedar Park on Monday afternoon.

Police said the single-vehicle collision occurred along the 300 block of the northbound lanes of the roadway just after 6 p.m., KXAN reported. The crash prompted officials to close off the Avery Ranch ramp as a result of the crash.

One victim was pronounced dead at the scene while another was transported to St. David's Round Rock Medical Center. Officials said a witness reported seeing the victim swerve from the center lane all the way to the outside one, striking the highway barrier. It's not clear what caused the motorist to swerve.
