Multi-Vehicle Leander Wreck Sends Four To Hospital

A portion of FM 1431 has been closed after the collision involving at least three cars that resulted in two adults, two kids hospitalized.

LEANDER, TX — Motorists are urged to avoid FM 1431 following its closure after a three-vehicle crash that resulted in several injuries on Thursday.

Austin-Travis County EMS officials said two adults were rushed to St. David's Round Rock Medical Center after the collision that occurred at around 1 p.m. Two children under the age of 10 also were injured and transported to Dell Children's Medical Center, medics said.

The multi-car wreck occurred along the 17900 block of FM 1431 near Lonesome Creek Trail, according to EMS officials. Emergency crews have blocked off the portion of the artery as they investigate the scene.

The accident reportedly involved just one car initially, but at least one other vehicle wrecked after trying to avoid the scene.
