Potbelly Sandwich Shop Opens in Lakeline
The Beloved Shop Brings its Toasty Warm Sandwiches, Signature Shakes and Live Music to the Intersection of Lakeline Blvd. and Research Dr.
Potbelly Sandwich Shop announced today the opening of a new shop located near the Lakeline Mall at 14009 N. US Highway 183. Set to open on Saturday, December 5th, the widely acclaimed neighborhood hangout will feature its toasty warm sandwiches, hand-dipped milkshakes, tasty made-to-order salads and live, local music, which make it “The Best Place for Lunch.”
Earning a reputation in neighborhoods across the United States for having delicious food, fun décor and local musicians performing, Potbelly shops are also well known for their friendly and lively people. General Manager Stan Vasicek has been with Potbelly for two and a half years.
“There is already buzz building about the opening of the new location,” said Vasicek. “We are going to provide a one-of-a-kind destination for local residents and business professionals looking for a delicious bite to eat. We are very excited to be opening so close to the mall and other popular retail shops.”

Potbelly Sandwich Shop fans have grown to adore the brand while visiting its three existing shops in Austin. Known for its good vibes in addition to great sandwiches, live music has been a part of the Potbelly experience since the first shop opened in 1977. Neighborhood musicians put a little rhythm into lunch at Potbelly Sandwich Shops around the country. Interested performers in and around Lakeline should contact the new shop manager to apply and to schedule an audition.
“We are looking forward to introducing more people around Austin to Potbelly,” Vasicek added. “The community has been looking for new lunch spots and it won’t take long for Potbelly to become their favorite. With good tunes and a welcoming atmosphere, Lakeline is in for a real treat.”

To celebrate the launch of the new location, Potbelly Sandwich Shop will host its traditional oven warming event. The shop will donate 100 percent of proceeds from the pre-opening event to Westwood High School Band Boosters, the local high school’s student band program. The fundraising celebration will occur on Friday, December 4th between 11:30 a.m. and 2:30 p.m. for lunch and 5:30 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. for dinner.
This Potbelly Sandwich Shop includes about 20 staff members, ranging from customer service to managers. The shop and drive thru will be open daily from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Delivery service will start a few weeks after opening and will be available Monday through Friday 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. with minimum orders of $25.
