Protect Your Pipes During The Cold Snap Cedar Park Water Customers Encouraged To Follow These Tips To Ensure Pipes Do Not Freeze

All City of Cedar Park water customers are encouraged to allow their faucets to drip during times that there will otherwise be no water consumption – for example, overnight or when you are not at home. This goes for vacant homes as well, even if heated. Remember:

- Allow faucets to drip
- Wrap exterior pipes/faucets
- Turn off irrigation systems
- Keep your home’s interior heated
- Leave cabinet doors open below sinks to expose pipes to heated air circulating in the home
If you experience broken pipes during this cold snap and are unable to find your home’s water shutoff valve, please call 512-401-5550 during normal business hours (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.) or the Police non-emergency line after hours at 512-260-4600, press 0 so that our Dispatchers may assist you.
