Report Of Armed Student Sparks Cedar Park High School Lock-Down
Campus placed on alert after a student reported a peer had a weapon before school deemed safe and given the all-clear by police.

CEDAR PARK, TX — A lock-down implemented at Cedar Park High School on Wednesday was lifted just before 1 p.m., officials said.
The lock-down was sparked following a report of a student with a weapon, Cedar Park police reported via Twitter. But shortly after the lock-down was implemented, the campus was deemed safe. The lock-down was lifted about an hour after being implemented, and police called to the school began clearing out shortly after 1 p.m.
The school is located at 2150 Cypress Creek Rd.

Update: We initially had a report from a student claiming another student had a weapon. Unable to verify any of the claims at this time—we will have a few officers on campus, but it is all clear at this time.
