  1. The Cedar Park-Leander area will have three new medical practices opening by the end of next month. Austin Diagnostic Clinic will open a Leander office at 505 St. David's Loop on Feb. 28, 2022 and will offer family practice services. Breathe: Ear, Nose & Throat will open a Cedar Park office at 1401 Medical Parkway, Bldg. B, Ste. 407 on Feb. 1, 2022 offering personalized treatment plans for ear, nose, throat and allergy care. Revival Chiropractic will open a Cedar Park location at 2051 Cypress Creek Road, Ste. M on Jan. 31, 2022 offering neurologically-based chiropractic corrective services. (Community Impact Newspaper)
  2. In an effort to keep Leander as a member, the Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority board of director's voted unanimously to support a new deal for the City of Leander. The deal would give Leander access to almost $2 million in infrastructure funding and a large share of a new $10 million infrastructure fund. Leander's City Council is considering separating ties with Capital Metropolitan Transportation Authority amid questions of spending sales tax revenues on other needs such as a water-processing system.   3. Cedar Park Police have arrested a man suspected of stabbing two people on Monday. Paul Dimitri Johnson, 25 years-of-age, has been charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of aggravated assault by threat with a deadly weapon according to a press release by the Cedar Park Police Department. The investigation is still ongoing, but initial information points to the suspect and the victims knowing each other. (KXAN.com)
