WILLIAMSON COUNTY, TX — Williamson County Commissioners Court Assistant General Counsel Stan O. Springerley on Tuesday announced his plans to run for Williamson County Attorney.

Springerley intends to seek the Democratic Party nomination, describing himself as "a bipartisan and experienced government lawyer who has successfully worked with both sides of the aisle." He expounded on his experience in an email: “As an attorney with public and private experience, I have the credentials, skill set and temperament to bring the office of county attorney back to core functions as opposed to plotting the next political case to file against community leaders that will eventually be dismissed.”

Calling himself "fiscally responsible and socially inclusive," Springerley said his aim is to help bring balance back to local government. “Williamson County is rapidly growing, and it has for too long been dominated by party politics instead of the good of the entire community,” he said.
