Student Arrested At Cedar Park High School After Bringing Weapons On Campus
Leander ISD officials reported the student to police after hearing of knives and cap gun brought to school.

LEANDER, TX -- A student was arrested Monday for allegedly bringing knives and a cap gun to the Cedar Park High School campus, according to media reports.
Leander ISD officials alerted police after learning the student might be in possession of a weapon, KXAN-TV reported. The student was located and detained, prompting school officials to alert parents and students of their zero tolerance stance on bringing weapons onto school grounds.
No other details were reported, save to add that the student faces disciplinary action as a result of his actions.

The incident was the second one in the area involving the possibility of a weapon on campus. In Austin, Gus Garcia Young Men's Leadership Academy was briefly placed on lockdown after reports of a gun on campus, although, ultimately, no such weapon was found.
