1. In the remote work era, tech startups are moving out of Silicon Valley and into new "tech hubs" like the Austin metro area. Employees and executives at tech-driven companies that have relocated or expanded here, such as Apple, Planatir, Oracle, and SpaceX, are buying up high-end single-family homes in areas just outside the city center to get "more land and bang for their buck," according to Kuper Sotheby’s International Realty. A Sotheby's realtor specifically called out Leander as a go-to place for tech professionals, since it's located just 15 miles north of the new Apple campus in the northwest Austin tech corridor. 2. Speaking of the local real estate market, the greater Cedar Park-Leander area has multiple lots and single-family properties that have just been listed for sale. There are two lots in Lago Vista for under $100,000 and one right here in Leander with nearly half an acre for $199,900.
