Tickets To Annual 'State Of Leander' Address Nearly Sold Out

Mayor Chris Fielder will update community on past accomplishments and future plans next week.

CEDAR PARK-LEANDER, TX -- There are just a dozen or so tickets left for the upcoming State of Leander annual update to be given by the city’s mayor next week.

The highly anticipated event scheduled Jan. 26 is normally a sold out affair, with about 175 people attending each year.

Greater Leander Chamber of Commerce President Bridget Brandt said by telephone that it’s almost standing-room only, with just 12 of the coveted tickets left to be sold.

The annual address outlines past accomplishments as well as projections for the future. With Leander widely considered the fastest-growing city in the state, Mayor Chris Fielder likely will have a lot of ground to cover.

Among the city’s milestones last year was the luring of a Randall’s grocery store currently under development. Ground was broken in October for the new shopping venue, with completion expected this year.

The new store will be located at the Crystal Falls Town Center, the city’s 94,000-square-foot shopping venue.

The State of Leander speech will be staged at the Hill Country Bible Church, behind the Smoky Mo’s barbecue joint at 11880 Old 2243 West.

Tickets to attend the mayor’s address are $12.

The few left can be gotten by reaching out to the chamber at 100 N. Brushy St., telephone number (512) 259-1907. They can also be purchased via the chamber’s website.

But you better hurry, because they’re going fast.
