Two Children Killed In Cedar Park Traffic Collision

CEDAR PARK, TX — Two children are dead after a Wednesday afternoon car crash, police officials said.

The incident occurred just after 3:30 p.m. at Walton Way and West Whitestone Boulevard near U.S. 183. Surrounding roads have been blocked off from traffic to accommodate investigators. The traffic fatality reportedly involved a truck and a van that collided at the site near a Walmart store.

Two children traveling in the van were pronounced dead at the scene, while the female driver was rushed to a hospital in critical condition with life-threatening injuries, according to reports. The occupants of the truck, a man and a woman, were treated for minor injuries at the scene, according to officials.

The cause of the crash and the ages of the juvenile victims are unknown factors. Cedar Park police said they would provide further details later on Wednesday.
