Unofficial Cedar Park Election Results In

Tim Kelly wins Place One, Anne Duffy wins Place Three, Heather Jefts wins Place Five

CEDAR PARK, TX — Cedar Park City Council will have one new city council member, along with two incumbents, according to unofficial election night results, pending provisional ballots which have yet to be counted.

According to unofficial election night results, Tim Kelly won the Place 1 seat with 52.76 percent of the vote (2,910 votes) over incumbent Stephen Thomas who received 47.24 percent (2,606 votes).

“I want to thank all of the voters out there that supported me. I look forward to serving the citizens of Cedar Park and making Cedar Park greater than it’s ever been,” Kelly said.

Incumbent Anne Duffy won the Place 3 seat with 51.48 percent of the vote (2,953 votes) over Hulyne Christopher who received 48.52 percent of the vote (2,783 votes).

“I am excited to continue to work with the council and the city staff to move our city forward," Duffy said.

Incumbent Heather Jefts won the Place 5 seat by a single vote, with 50.01 percent of the vote (2,871 votes), over Rodney Robinson who received 49.99 percent of the vote (2,870 votes).

“I am excited about the turnout in this election," Jefts said. "I am happy with the current result and to be ahead. I am looking forward to this being officially resolved and every vote being counted.”

All election night results are unofficial until canvassed at a specially called meeting at a date to be determined no later than May 15. Council members will be officially sworn in at the May 23 regular city council meeting.
